A t.v. show whose main character is a blogger: quarterlife

FYI- this post is unrelated to music, but interesting for the blogging community. Below is a teaser video from the new NBC drama quarterlife. Here is a brief description of the show from the web-site:

The quarterlife series follows a group of friends in their twenties as they pursue their dreams and experience the bitter and sweet of life

The teaser for this video is entitled “Be careful who your blogging friends are…” and gives a glimpse into the main character, Dylan, as she videoblogs about her life and her friends. The actual quarterlife web-site is a social networking site- “A community for artists, thinkers and do-ers.” It will be interesting to see if this “art imitating life” strategy will resonate with young adults who are web 2.0 users.

I don’t exactly fall into the twenty-something demographic (I’m off by about 20 years…) and have only watched portions of the show on-line via hulu, but I’m fascinated with how the show’s creators are providing insight into how on-line activities such as blogging and social networking are affecting young adult lives. Is it an accurate portrayal of real life?
